I am afraid to say that this game is nothing more than wasted potential, too serious to be sheer video game fun and too sloppily made to allow the player to make any real progress. If you want a music video game then guitar hero is better than this, if you want to learn guitar and cant afford/dont want face to face lessons go to youtube, I am sure there must be thousands upon thousands of free tutorials/song lessons there by now. Detecting 1% of notes you hit with fingers or 5% of notes you hit when you use a pick the core mechanics of the game are still fundamentally broken. Rocksmith 2014 - The Smashing Pumpkins - Cherub Rock 2.99 Rocksmith 2014 Megadeth - Tornado of Souls 2.99 Rocksmith 2014 Edition Remastered Stone Temple Pilots - Trippin’ on a Hole in a Paper Heart 2.99 Rocksmith 2014 The Smashing Pumpkins - Bullet with Butterfly Wings 2.99 Rocksmith 2014 Radiohead - Creep 2. This is made worse since it seems like the game *requires* a pick to play, I rarely use them personally I am more comfortable using my fingers, but ultimately it doesnt matter if you personally prefer a pick or fingers because regardless the note detection simply doesnt work. Theres a lot of songs (including DLC from Rocksmith 2014). The note detection is abysmal, I have tried connecting a range of different guitars from different brands and different price brackets and the game does not consistently detect notes from any of them. Read reviews, compare customer ratings, see screenshots, and learn more about Rocksmith+. The songs in this package are: Rocksmith: The Strokes - Juicebox. However, for the songs that are available, it’s undeniable that Rocksmith+ is accurate, engaging and helpful enough to teach users how to play them. This DLC for Rocksmith contains three songs of the band The Strokes, also available separately. I have been playing guitar going on 13 years now, that's not a brag in any way, I am not saying I am particularly good but its been a hobby for many years and I am a fairly competent player but this game makes me feel like i've never even seen a guitar in my life. As it stands, Rocksmith+ ’s uneven catalogue could cynically be judged as a means to drip-feed bigger songs into the service, keeping customers on the hook for longer. This could have been something good, expanding on the appeal of the guitar hero games and giving a game that combines playing a video game and a sense of challenge and progression in a fun manner and having it teach you a real world hobby in the process, it could and should have been good, but the execution could not have been much worse to be frank.
